Lights, camera, holiday action! • This year, the host with the most is Steven Spielberg. The biggest director in Hollywood history has two movies slated for the snowflake season: “War Horse,” adapted from a play about a battlefield stallion, and “The Adventures of Tintin,” based on the venerable comic strip about a Belgian boy reporter and filmed with the motion-capture animation technique used in “The Polar Express.” Joining Spielberg in the family-film free-for-all is fellow legend Martin Scorsese, the latter-day Scorsese David Fincher, and prestigious directors Lars von Trier, Clint Eastwood and Pedro Almodovar.
Unhappy return • On a day when the Rams’ defense yielded a season-low 262 yards, and the Rams outgained Arizona by more than 2-to-1 on the ground and enjoyed a 12-minute edge in time of possession, they still found themselves on the wrong end of the scoreboard.
